Activity Log
The Activity Log is the account-wide traceability record for actions performed by users and CID Hub. A CID-specific Activity Log filters the same record to one CID.
Fields
Each entry provides the information needed to identify and understand an action.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Date/Time | When the event occurred, displayed in your local timezone. |
| User | The person who initiated the action. System-generated events show System instead of a person's name. |
| Description | The action that occurred. |
| Reason | The reason supplied for a controlled change, or a system-generated explanation. |
| Category | The functional area that produced the event. |
| Level | The event severity. |
Categories
CID Hub uses these Activity Log categories:
- Additional Hubs
- Authentication
- Certificate Authorities
- CID Activation
- CID Administration
- CID Device
- CID Networking
- CID Software
- CID Summary
- Customer
- OpenLab Server Software
- OpenLab Server Summary
- Software Library
Severity levels
Severity distinguishes successful activity from failures.
| Level | Meaning |
|---|---|
| INFO | Successful operations and user requests. |
| DEBUG | Diagnostic activity recorded by CID Hub. |
| WARNING | Reserved; no current events use this level. |
| ERROR | Failed downloads, installations, removals, or commands. |
Activity Log and Recent Activity
The Activity Log records high-level user and system actions for traceability. Recent Activity on a CID's Summary page records lower-level steps reported by the CID agent for operational diagnosis. Deleting a CID does not remove its Activity Log history.
