Device registry

The Devices page lists the physical CID hardware registered to your account. Device records are distinct from the deployed CID records shown on the CIDs page.

Activation states

Device status describes where the hardware is in the activation process.

Status	Meaning
New	The device is registered in CID Hub and available to link to a CID.
Linked	A CID record has been created with the device PIN, but the physical device has not connected to that record.
Active	The physical CID has connected to CID Hub and matched its CID record.

Device fields

Treat the PIN, MAC address, and serial number as sensitive operational identifiers.

Field	Meaning
MAC	The MAC address of the CID's Corporate NIC.
Code	The permanent eight-character PIN printed on the device's QR-code label and used to link hardware to a CID record.
CID	The assigned CID name and a link to its summary page.
Serial #	The hardware serial number.
Model #	The hardware model.
Last Connected	The most recent pre-activation communication with CID Hub. After activation, updates stop until a factory reset returns the device to registration mode.
Created by / Date Created	Who created the record and when.
Modified by / Date Modified	Who last changed the record and when.
