Software Library
The Software Library is the read-only catalog of software available to CIDs. Selecting or installing software happens on an OpenLab Server software template or on an individual CID.
Software categories
The library organizes packages by their role on the CID.

| OpenLab CDS | Base releases, updates, and feature packs packaged as Windows VM images. |
| Linux Update | Cumulative updates for the Oracle Linux host, including CID Agent and security updates. |
| Windows Update | Agilent-tested Windows security-update bundles for the embedded Windows VM. |
| Instrument Drivers | Agilent instrument-control drivers filtered by OpenLab CDS compatibility. |
| Add-ons | Optional OpenLab CDS applications, such as Sample Scheduler and GPC/SEC Software. |
Common fields
The available fields vary slightly by category.

| Version | The package's complete version identifier. |
| Release Notes | The package-specific release document. CID Hub displays Not Available when none is published. |
| Release Date | When Agilent made the package available in CID Hub. |
| Status | The Windows Update lifecycle state: Beta, Released, or Obsolete. |
| KB Article | For Windows updates, the included Microsoft Knowledge Base articles. |
| Actions | For OpenLab CDS images, links to the image and checksum files. |
Version and lifecycle rules
CID Hub filters drivers and add-ons by the selected OpenLab CDS version. Only the latest active Windows and Linux updates are selectable for new assignments. An obsolete Windows update remains visible in the library and on CIDs where it is already installed, but it is not offered for a new selection.
